After a 20-year career as a senior Directorate of Operations (DO) Officer at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Ms. Barnes brings depth and experience tackling the most daunting national security challenges to her next professional endeavor. She has led multidisciplinary and interagency teams, both small and large, identifying solutions to complex and nuanced problems. Ms. Barnes is adept at problem-solving and translating business processes into technical solutions.

Ms. Barnes has held senior positions, including tours as Chief of Counterintelligence, Chief of Operations, Chief of multiple Covert Action Programs, and successful engagement with various Congressional Oversight Committees. As a senior staff officer, she attended the Marine Corps War College where she earned a master’s degree in National Security Strategy, providing a deeper understanding of the global challenges facing the entire Intelligence Community (IC) and reinforcing the need for increased cooperation between the US Military and all 17 IC agencies.
